The Health Statistics shows that there are 200,000 tuberculosis patients and 30,000 deaths every year in Vietnam. The main cause of human tuberculosis is M. Tuberculosis, also called as tuberculosis bacteria. 

GeneProof Mycobacterium tuberculosis PCR Kit applies PCR technology to detect DNA of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in samples. The kit has CE-IVD certification for in vitro Diagnostic Use.

▶ Detection ability

  • Specificity: Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (M. tuberculosis, M. bovis, M. africanum, M. microti, M. caprae, M. canetti and vaccine strain BCG), 100%
  • Sensitivity: Sensitivity: reach up to 0.191 cp/μl with the probability 95 %

▶ Technology

  • The PCR kit is designed for DNA Mycobacterium tuberculosis detection by the real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method
  • The detection kit takes advantage of the ”hot start” technology, minimizing non-specific reactions and assuring maximum sensitivity
  • The M. tuberculosis detection consists in amplification of a specific multi-copy insertion sequence IS6110 and in measurement of fluorescence increase

– Internal Standard (IS) is included in the PCR kit, controlling the possible  inhibition of the PCR and the DNA  extraction process quality (ISEX version) 

– Ready to Use MasterMix contains uracil DNA glycosylase (UDG), eliminating possible contamination of the PCR  with amplification products

DNA Clean & Concentrator (DCC)
