Officially launch program “a warm winter in rural village 2017”

Being successful in the errand of mercy named “A warm winter in a rural village 2016”, the executive board of Union of Biomedic JSC would like to launch the program “A warm winter in a rural village 2017”. To prepare for the trip in the last month of the year, organizing committee conducted the pre-trip in Muong La district, Son La province which suffered from the severe flood in August 2017.

Nam Gion commune, which belongs to Muong La district, Son La province and is 380 km from Hanoi to the North West, is one of the poorest communes in Son La as well as in Vietnam. It is also the residential area of many ethnic minorities such as H’Mong, La Ha, Kháng,etc. People there mostly are farmers and their lives depend on nature. Three months ago, the severe flood destroyed houses, land, plants, domestic animals and even people’s lives that made their difficult lives worse.

Located on the mountain, it is difficult to reach to the village so people’s lives here are almost isolated from the outer world. Their lives lack clean water, electricity and other sevices. Main transportations are motorbikes, non-motorized vehicles and others. Especially, in the rainy periods, landslides almost freeze transporting. In winter, everyone has to live in the chilly weather. This winter will be unforgettable for the old and children here because they do not only suffer from the severe weather but also the poverty.

Children in Nam Gion are so cute, pretty and innocent. In kindergartens, the classes are built from wood and floor is bare soil. In winter, the wind blows through holes on wooden wall. There are not enough tables, chairs and school things so toys are something luxury for kids there. Nam Gion kindergarten is divided into 15 secondary kindergartens in the cause of bad quality road system and small-scale residents. There is a main kindergarten and some secondary kindergartens are reconstructed in the supporting program from the state budget. The rest kindergartens, the nearest and the farthest kindergartens are 4km and 40km from the commune center respectively.
