The second scientific seminar on Cancer in Army

Lately, on October 10th, The second scientific seminar on Cancer in Army was held at Hospital 19.8 with the attendance of 150 scientists, oncology doctors from Police and Army agencies nationwide. The seminar was held by Vietnamese Cancer Foundation and Center of Oncology in Hospital 19.8 in order to update information and increase quality of examination and treatment for patients with cancer, meanwhile celebrated 10 year-anniversary of Oncology center at Hospital 19.8. Biomedic had the honour to be Bronze sponsor for the seminar.

After general discussions, 6 rounds of seminar were organized at the halls with the scientific reports of doctors and scientists. In the subject of “Thorax cancer”, Doctor Pham Thu Thuy – Microorganism Department, Hospital 19.8 joined with the report on “Application of ddPCR in non-invasive testing to diagnose and keep track of targeted therapy for non-small cell lung cancer.” This is the scientific project which was conducted in droplet digital PCR system from Bio-Rad, sponsored by Biomedic with the blood sample of patients at the Hospital 19.8. The results proved that fluid biopsy by ddPCR system gave more accurate results and higher rate of detection than tumor biopsy.
