A warm winter in a rural village

An unforgettable winter to all of us …

On 26th November 2016, Biomedicers held a charity program named “Biomedic – Love spreading” for kids at Co Linh kindergarten (Co Linh Commune, Pac Nam district,  Bac Kan province). There were 25 volunteers attending the program as well as financial and mental support from sponsors in Biomedic and out of the company.

The trip starts at the head office of Biomedic (Hapulico building, No 1 Nguyen Huy Tuong, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi).

At 3:40 am, everyone started packing in the rainy freezing weather. The coach departed at 5:00 am and reached to the kindergarten at 12:30 pm.

Organizing process was reminded along the way to Co Linh kindergarten although it was assigned before. After greeting and introducing to, volunteer groups split as assigned brought gift to kindergartens.

“The bus is full of love“

The number of gift for kindergarten kids consisted of:

– 284 gifts (including a jacket, a pair of boots, 2 pairs of socks)

– 80 sheets for kid sleeping freezing cold winter

In addition, 30 encouraging awards were given to primary students with good performance in 2016.

Co Linh kindergartens consisted of 1 main school and 9 other auxiliary schools placed in different areas in Co Linh commune. The nearest kindergarten and the farthest was 4 km and 10 km respectively. The roads were rough, volunteers had to go across streams and mountains. Thanked to the great support from locals, schools and parents, volunteers team arrived kindergarten successfully and gave gifts to kids.

The gifts were given to kids in warmly and intimate atmosphere. Looking at the innocent and cute faces with a little surprise drove us feel more or less the happiness of our contribution in bringing a little warm to a freezing winter in this difficult rural village.

“Be well prepared to go to school”

After finishing the program, volunteers moved to gathering point to prepare for night activity with kids and locals. Volunteers were divided into two groups, one group together with kindergarten teachers was in charge of cooking, the other with members of local Youth Union was in charge of preparing performances.

“The dish completed in 30 minutes by logistics support team”

At 19:00, the performance started after kids and their parents, teachers and locals gathered at the yard of Commune’s head office. After greeting local authority, performances prepared by kindergarten teachers and the local Youth Union were shown. The story “Fox and Rabbit” told by volunteer also drew kid attention and interested them.

“Keep pace with loving and charitable hearts”

Among performances were awarding part which gave 30 gifts to primary students with good performance in 2016.

Outside, the weather was foggy and extremely cold in paddy fields and especially on top of mountains around Co Linh village. However, it was warm inside with love from charitable hearts and youth’s enthusiasm.

Everyone has different points of view toward life, difficulties as well as sadness, sometimes people forget that each person possesses a precious pearl. It is the love to others, especially disabled and miserable people. That trip was the chance for us to be closer and somehow feel the meaning of love and sharing.

After the trip, little regret remains as we can’t help the children here more than what we did. Also because we have to say goodbye when we have just been together for a short time. But looking at the future, we both have a journey which is waiting for us. Wish you health and success in order to be able to develop your hometown.

We, the organizer, would like to thank for the concern and the donation of the benefactors, thank the volunteers who are working for our company and who are not for accompanying with us and overcoming the tough and long distance. They come here to give the presents to the children.

We want to express our sincere thanks and hope that we will receive the support of the community so Biomedic can hold more meaningful voluntary trips.
